MES Production Monitoring Dashboard

We built a comprehensive MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solution that bridges the gap between business planning (ERP) and the actual production process.
Core Modules
The system is organized around several interconnected modules:
Status Tracking — Real-time visibility into every workstation and production cell. Operators see what's running, what's queued, and what's blocked, on floor-mounted screens designed for glove-friendly interaction.
Operation Genealogy — Full traceability of every operation, from raw material intake to finished product. Each unit carries a digital record of what happened to it, when, where, and by whom. This is critical for quality audits and root cause analysis.
KPI Dashboards — Role-specific views: floor operators see their cell's throughput and current targets, supervisors see cross-line comparisons, and management sees aggregated plant-level metrics. All updated in real time.
ERP Integration & Data Flow
The MES sits between the shop floor and the client's existing ERP system. Production orders flow down from ERP, execution data flows back up. We built the integration layer to handle bidirectional synchronization — order status, material consumption, and quality data are exchanged automatically, eliminating manual data entry and the errors that come with it.
Real-Time Architecture
The system uses a publish-subscribe architecture for real-time data distribution. Sensor data from PLCs is collected, processed, and pushed to dashboards with minimal latency. We used MQTT for lightweight machine-to-server communication and WebSocket connections for live dashboard updates.
Operator Training
As part of handoff, we conducted on-site training sessions with production operators and shift supervisors. The interface was designed with their input — large touch targets, clear color coding, and minimal navigation depth — so adoption was immediate rather than gradual.
The result: dynamic production scheduling, human-centric ergonomic assistance, quality-control automation, and predictive maintenance — all from a single unified dashboard.
